The Church’s vision for the Period of Mystagogy and Postbaptismal Catechesis has the power to influence whole parish communities. While the neophytes benefit from this stage of formation, all the baptized are greatly enriched when they approach life and worship through a mystagogical lens. In this Digital Institute, participants will dive deeper into the RCIA ritual text and examine practical ways to improve their parish’s initiation ministry. When we plan for sacramental living as the goal of Christian initiation, we will avoid seeing this period as an add-on, and recognize that it is essential to lifelong missionary discipleship.
